Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will supervise large and complex service projects and assist the commercial superintendent in managing day-to-day operations on commercial flat roofing projects.

This position will ensure that all work meets our high standards of quality. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a solid understanding of commercial roofing practices.

This person will be knowledgeable of our complete range of roofing products, services, and solutions and, focus on exceeding the customer's expectations for service, knowledge, and professionalism. They will collaborate and communicate cross-functionally between Operations, Sales, Admin & Finance.

Role Snapshot:

This role will primarily be as service superintendent but also aid the commercial superintendent with any needed help. Complex leak investigation will also be a part of the role when time permits.

Project Coordination:

• Review paperwork-load list, scope, etc., to ensure accuracy
• Ensure that all project activities comply with safety regulations and company policies
• Attend pre-con meetings/set up onsite with techs or foreman to review the scope of the project and ensure proper setup
• Collaborate with the salesperson on the job and project manager
• Collaborate with the job foreman
• Crew/Tech support as needed throughout the day. (equipment, material deliveries, etc).

Quality Control:

• Conduct regular inspections of roofing installations to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications
• Identify and document any deficiencies or issues in workmanship and work with the Superintendent to develop corrective actions
• Ensure that all materials and workmanship meet the project specifications and industry standards
• Quality control job site visits daily; ensuring each job is being performed with commercial roofing excellence
• Proper housekeeping and client directives are being followed.

Communication and Reporting:

• Provide regular updates to the superintendent, and project manager, on project progress, quality control issues, and any other relevant information
• Assist in preparing and submitting reports to clients, contractors, and internal management.
• Act as a liaison between the Superintendent, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth communication and project execution. ● Morning crew startups/discussions each day
• Communicate with the customer what will be happening onsite and when (Staging, power needs, crane, dumpsters, etc)
• Job follow-ups and punch list inspections upon completion of the work

Safety Compliance:

• Monitor job site safety practices and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Assist in conducting safety meetings and training as needed
• Make sure that safety protocols are being followed and proper PPE is being worn

Preferred Experience:

• Journeyman, commercial roofing.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Computer skills with the following software programs; Centerpoint, Google Suite, Google Docs, and Google Sheets, and the ability to learn new software.
• Take initiative to solve problems, consistently achieve results, work independently, and work as a team in an entrepreneurial culture.
• Effective communication skills to influence crew members and techs.
• Experience in and knowledge of commercial roofing; Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques
• Ability to creatively troubleshoot and problem-solve.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.

Qualifications + Certificates + Licenses:

• Minimum Journeyman in commercial flat roofing
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
• Comfortable accessing, walking a roof, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions
